Abstract

Internet-of-Things is the core concept behind the current age inter-communication among smart objects and the smart world. Smart objects are the sensors and actuators embedded in living or non-living things that can communicate with each other by means of sending and receiving information and data. In the genesis of Internet-of-Things (IoT), resource management and the services provided by resources is one of the core issues. This work proposes an architecture for smart-homes. The proposed architecture includes services for making, the living area, bathroom, kitchen, doors, and support for elderly people and children, as smart as possible. Further this paper describes a jobInstruction scheme for Internet-of-Things enabled smart-homes. This jobInstruction is a set of instructions/commands used to perform desired task in a structured manner. The jobInstruction set discussed in this work is limited to smart-rooms, smart-kitchens, smart-bathrooms, smart-doors, smart-cooling, and smart-children/elderly support. This work will helpful in implanting the smart-homes in an efficient manner.
