Abstract

The performance of polymer photovoltaic cells (PVCs) based on composite films of MEH-PPV and 1- (3-(methoxycarbonyl) propyl) -1-phenyl [6, 6] (PCBM) derivatives with different alkyloxy chain length was evaluated. Improved performance parameters were achieved in single-layer cell structure. Under illumination of AM 1.5 solar simulator with 100mW/cm 2 power, we obtained η e , 2.6%, V oc , 0.8V, I sc , 6.5mA/cm 2 respectively. Up to C12-substitution, cell performance does not change with the length of substitution.
