Abstract

Through copolymerization of MMA (methyl methacrylate) with the vinyl-functionalized and tris-pyrazolonate hetero-binuclear complex monomer [Zn(L1)(4-vinyl-Py)Yb(L2)3] (3;H2L1=N,N′-bis(salicylidene)cyclohexane-1,2-diamine; 4-vinyl-Py=4-vinyl-pyridine and HL2=(Z)-3-methyl-1-phenyl-4-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1-hydroxyethylidene)-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one), the obtained PMMA-supported grafting hybrid materials Poly(MMA-co-3) exhibit ideal physical properties including the desirable Yb3+-centered NIR efficiency (ΦYbL up to 1.29%).
