Abstract

In this paper we introduce a fast analysis method for general antenna measurement evaluation in which the impact of the probe/range antenna coupling with the Antenna Under Test (AUT) and anechoic chamber can be evaluated. This method differs from the standard chamber evaluation techniques that aim at characterizing the anechoic chamber by its Quiet Zone (QZ). The proposed method is based on the antenna coupling equation, known from Spherical Near-Field (SNF) measurements, where the angular dependent absorber performance is included by image theory. The potential of this method is illustrated by evaluating both the QZ and a full antenna measurement scenario for a given antenna.
