Abstract
An extended algorithm for the analysis of periodic structures is proposed and substantiated. The algorithm is based on the open-circuit impedance (short-circuit admittance) matrix-parameter description of two ports. With these parameters the characteristic values of Floquet modes are determined. Furthermore, impedance/admittance transformation formulas are developed for N concatenated period sections. The proposed algorithm is verified by numerical results.
