Abstract

A new adaptive radar target detection algorithm which is of significant use in nonhomogeneous clutter environments is developed. The key idea of the proposed algorithm is that the degree of freedom is controlled to avoid a serious detection loss due to limited secondary data vectors, while maintaining high performance of the joint polarisation-space-time processing. The performance of the proposed algorithm is numerically evaluated to illustrate its efficiency in limited secondary data environments.
