Abstract

The efficient high energy generation of the 1st (1.197μm), 2nd (1.369μm) or 3rd Stokes (1.599μm) components in barium nitrate Raman lasers pumped with a 1.064μm radiation was demonstrated. The energies of more than 100mJ were obtained in each Stokes component at pump energy of about 300mJ. The quantum conversion efficiencies were 66%, 44% and 63% for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Stokes generation, respectively.
