Abstract

The author describes a novel algorithm for solving electrostatic and magnetostatic field problems in two dimensions. The approach combines nonlinear conformal spatial warping with a relaxation-based finite difference field solver, and is particularly appropriate for solutions of distributed parameters of open configurations such as those encountered in multiconductor transmission lines. The approach has been run on a variety of microstrip and stripline configurations and rapidly produces high-accuracy results. >
