Abstract
N-doped carbon encapsulated Cu–CoO (CuCo@NC) exhibits high FE (99.1%) for CO2eRR to CO + CH4, coupled with the anodic oxidation of CH3OH to dimethoxymethane in EmimBF4–methanol electrolyte, partly substituting for OER and hindering competing HER.
