Abstract

Efficiency optimization problems for circular ring transverse axial positron camera systems (CRTAPC) have been investigated. The analyses include source activity, camera dimension, collimator and phantom sizes. The results indicate possibilities for fast dynamic function studies in the time region of a few seconds for reasonably small phantom sizes having a uniform activity distribution.
