Abstract

A study of the efficiencies and dimensions of forty isolates ofRhizobium leguminosarum isolated from pea nodules revealed that efficiencies of the isolates were related positively and significantly with the surface areas of the rod forms and less strongly with the volumes. No such correlation was observed in the case of coccal forms of the isolates.
