Abstract
Many real world problems have fuzzy nature. Efficiency measurement and ranking various decision making units (DMUs) with different fuzzy inputs and outputs using fuzzy Data Envelopment Analysis (FDEA) is an applicable tool for managers. Efficiency evaluation of manufacturing designs (MD) while effective criteria on them have fuzzy essence, particularly manufacturing designs with unmanageable (UM) criteria is not possible with the current available FDEA models. We utilize a new FDEA model in this paper, where the inputs and outputs are fuzzy (including UM inputs). There are 7 different MD that require to perform a part of manufacturing process to be done in nature, where each one has three inputs (workers, equipment and weather condition from the view of profession/experiences, development level of equipment and problematic respectively) and two outputs (cycle time ratio and work in progress respectively) which has been considered as fuzzy data. Each MD introduces the inputs and the outputs for the production plan and they were used to evaluate the efficiency and ranking of the designs.
