Abstract
Objective: Treatment of dedifferentiated and anaplastic thyroid carcinomas that do not concentrate iodine is still very difficult. A number of chemotherapeutic agents are currently used in clinical trials. Due to the low number of patients affected, only few data are available concerning the efficacy of different drugs in various tumor subtypes. In this study we investigated the responses of thyroid carcinoma cell lines from different tumor types to chemotherapeutic treatment.
