Abstract
Purpose: Tourniquet use for extremity hemorrhage has been well studied and become a mainstay in adult trauma care in last 15 years. There has been a push to increase the distribution and use of tourniquets in civilian settings including schools in response to school shootings and as part of disaster preparedness.
