Efficacy of organophosphorus derivatives against fungal pathogens of sugarcane : reactions of o,o-diethylchlorophosphate with substituted chalcone hydrazones

Abstract

The reactions of O, O- diethyl chlorophosphate with substituted chalcone hydrazones have been carried out in ethyl alcohol in presence of sodium acetate under inert atmosphere. The reaction products have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral studies. The fungicidal activity of all these derivatives have been evaluatedin vitro againstColletotrichum falcatum, Fusariutn oxysporum and Curvularia pallescens at different concentrations. The screening results have been correlated with the structural features of the tested compounds.
