Abstract

Venous leg ulcers (VLUs) represent a significant disease burden worldwide owing to their high incidence, increasing prevalence, slow or nonhealing, high recurrence rate, and considerable patient and financial burden on the healthcare system. Newer, minimally invasive techniques have been widely used for the treatment of varicose veins with or without active VLUs. This is a retrospective study to evaluate the efficacy of endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) in the treatment of VLUs owing to superficial venous reflux.
