Abstract

Summary Effectiveness of bioproducts (BoniProtect®, Polyversum WP, Effective Microorganism – EM) used as spraying of trees before harvest or as dipping of apples after harvest (BoniProtect®, Yield Plus, EM, hot water) in the control of bull’s eye rot (Pezicula spp.) was evaluated. BoniProtect® and EM regardless of use were not effective. Polyversum WP applied in organic orchard was not effective, but in two orchards with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) it showed a low efficacy (30–40%) and in two others IPM orchards appeared to be highly effective (80%). Yield Plus used in a form of dipping apples did not reduce bull’s eye rot. The most effective method was hot water treatment (effectiveness 80–100%). For apples cultivars Topaz and Pinova optimal temperature was 48–49°C, and time – 2 minutes.
