Efficacy observation of otilonium bromide tablets combined with compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome

Abstract

Objective To observe the curative effect of otilonium bromide tablets combined with compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).Methods Ninety patients with IBS were randomly divided into 3 groups.The 45 patients in Group A were treated with the combination of otilonium bromide tablets (40 mg,tid,po) and compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets(1.0 g,tid,po) ; while the 25 patients in group B were treated with otilonium bromide tablets (40 mg,tid,po) and 20 patients in group C were treated with compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets (1.0 g,tid,po).After 4 weeks of treatment,the curative effects and incidences of side effects were observed.Results The total effective rate of group A,group B and group C was 88.9％,68％ and 65％ respectively,there were significant differences(P ＜ 0.05).The curative effect of group A was better than that of group B and group C (P ＜ 0.05),but there were no significant difference between group B and group C (P ＞ 0.05).Side effects were found in group A and group B,while wasn' t found in group C,but there were no significant differences among them(P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Otilonium bromide tablets combined with compound eosinophil-lactobacillus tablets in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome have satisfied effect.
