Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects and side effects of Huaier granules combined with sorafenib and single solofenib on advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods A retrospective study was performed on 54 patients with advanced liver cancer from June 2011 to June 2015.Patients were divided into the two drugs group(n=30, Huaier granules combined with sorafenib)and single drug group(n=24, single sorafenib). Patients were followed up regularly to evaluate the efficacy and side effects. Results The median survival time and median tumor progression time were better in the two drugs group than those in the single drug group(P<0.05), and the adverse reaction rate was lower in the two drugs group(P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of Huaier granules and sorafenib is more effective in the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma than single solafenib, and the toxicity is lower.
