Abstract

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a disabling disorder with high rates of treatment resistance. Although transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has been shown to be safe and tolerable as a noninvasive means of brain stimulation, its efficacy as a treatment for OCD has not been sufficiently evaluated. Objective: To determine the efficacy and safety of tDCS of the supplementary motor area (SMA) for treatment-resistant OCD.
