Background: Additional treatment options are needed for acute seizures. Therefore, we assessed the efficacy and safety of intravenous (IV) brivaracetam (BRV) vs IV lorazepam (LZP) for acute seizures in patients with epilepsy undergoing evaluation in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
