Abstract

Background: Common Acne (CA) is a very common skin disease. Topical antiseptics such as benzoyl peroxide and keratolytic agents such as salicilyc acid are widely used as first-line treatment of CA. Recently, a new formulation of hydrogen peroxide 1% in stabilised cream and a new thermophobic foam formulation of salicilyc acid 2% (SAF) became available.
