Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic urticaria from the outpatient department in the First People’s Hospital of Zhengzhou from March 2017 to March 2018 were selected. According to the random number method, the patients were divided into two groups, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given cyproheptadine tablets orally, and the treatment group was given diloratadine tablets orally for 8 weeks. One month later after treatment, the efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rates of chronic urticaria in the control group and the treatment group were 76.0% and 94.0%, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.353, P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were 28.0% and 8.0%, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.675, P<0.05).
