Abstract
Within the homologues of isonicotinic acid hydrazide (isoniazid) only nicotinic acid hydrazide exerted a vegetalizing action but lower to that of isoniazid ; picolinic acid hydrazide and benzhydrazide presented no activity. Various hydrazides and hydrazines not strictly related to isoniazid presented no vegetalizing activity. The results are discussed on the basis of the effects of isoniazid on the cellular metabolism.
