Abstract

The integrity of the workpiece's surface affects its performance. The material and cutting circumstances determine the surface integrity of the workpiece. Cutting speed, feed rate, and tool nose radius affect machined surface roughness and tool life on Inconel 718. Testing three different cutting speeds, feed rates, and angle radii. The results demonstrate that feed speed and tool nose radius have the largest influence on surface roughness, however there is no clear relationship between the two. The degree of hardening also increases with increasing cutting speed and feed rate. A greater radius of the tool nose, on the other hand, reduces mechanical curing. The results of this study can help explain the mechanism of mechanical surface roughness and working hardening in dry turning Inconel 718. Study the effect of surface integrity on machined part service life.
