Abstract

Abstract Criticality and diffusion problems have been widely studied in neutron transport theory using polynomial expansion techniques in different geometries. In this study, instead of conventional scattering functions, two different phase function will be used in slab geometry transport equation by using the TN approximation and Marshak boundary conditions. Critical half thicknesses of the slab will be calculated. The numerical results obtained will be presented in tables.
