Abstract

Abstract Effects of water vapor upon the partial oxidation of methane on silica-supported molybdenum oxide catalyst strongly depend upon the dispersion states of Mo ions, and highly dispersed Mo ions depress the production of CO2 by an addition of water vapor into the feed gas.
