Abstract

Background: Patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) have limited exercise tolerance, thereby leading to impaired quality of life. Recent studies revealed that Waon therapy improved exercise tolerance in CHF patients. However, the mechanism remains to be elucidated. Method: Forty-one patients with CHF (68.3±13.5 years) underwent Waon therapy. Before and 3-week after Waon therapy, exercise tolerance testing, flow-mediated dilation (FMD), biomarkers, and mental health conditions assessed by SF-36 were evaluated.
