Abstract

It is shown that the effect of W/C ratio on strength development of concrete with age under accelerated curing conditions is similar to that under normal curing conditions. An explanation is presented for the effect of maximum size of aggregate on the correlation between accelerated strength and 28 day normal curing strength. A separate correlation is suggested for each maximum size of aggregate. It is shown that mix proportion does not have a significant effect on the correlation.
