Abstract
Objective: To investigate the right ventricular systolic function and synchrony in patients with right ventricular volume overload by echocardiography. Methods: 25 patients with right ventricular volume overload and 20 normal controls were investigated. Right ventricular end diastolic area (RVESA), right ventricular end diastolic area (RVEDA), right ventricular fractional area change (RVFAC), systolic myocardial velocity, myocardial performance index, the time to peak (TTP) of systolic velocity of right ventricular wall (RVW) and interventricular septum (IVS) were measured by echocardiography.
