Abstract

SynopsisFavorable changes in bulk density and aggregation have resulted from a new method of subsoiling called vertical mulching. Ten and 14 months after treatment it was found that bulk density values for vertical mulching were significantly lower than for ordinary subsoiling, and aggregate index values were usually higher for the vertical mulching treatment.
