Abstract
There are some common diseases occurred on hollow slab bridge often, such as large deflections and Single Beam Bearing caused by insufficient strength of hinge joints, and so on. Transverse prestressed tendons (TPTS for short) is an effective methods to solve the above diseases. A detailed analysis of hollow slab bridge with TPTS is done by FEM in this article. The analysis parameters include the TPTS layout and the value of prestress. The results show that the TPTS can effectively even the transverse load distribution, and improve the integrity of bridges.
