Abstract

Background: Cognitive deficits are highly prevalent in patients with late life depression (LLD) and are known to persist in spite of successful antidepressant treatment. Preclinical and clinical studies suggest that transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) may enhance cognition however its effects in patients with LLD are not known.
