Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of the trajectory nursing model on patients with benign gastric tumor. Methods A total 86 patients with benign gastric tumor admitted in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between August 2014 and August 2016 were selected by purposive sampling and divided into the control group (n=43) and the observation group (n=43) according to the random number table. Patients in the control group received conventional nursing care, while patients in the observation group received trajectory nursing care. The Exercise Prescription Compliance Scale for Cancer Related-Fatigue in Gastric Cancer Patients and the Gastric Cancer Patients Diet Treatment Compliance Scale were used to evaluate the effects of intervention. Results The scores of exercise compliance and diet compliance in the observation group were (47.98±7.12) and (33.54±5.78) , respectively, both higher than those of the control group (t=9.925, 7.119; P<0.01) . Conclusions The trajectory nursing model can effectively improve the postoperative exercise compliance and diet compliance in patients with benign gastric tumor, which is worth promoting in clinical practice.
