Abstract

The main objective of the present study was to evaluate hemodynamics and recovery parameters in relation to two anaesthetic techniques; remifentanil-propofol based total intravenous anaesthesia (TIVA), versus fentanyl-sevoflurane based balanced inhalation anaesthesia (BA) in orthognathic surgery. The second objective was to evaluate long duration local anaesthesia administered after surgery on recovery parameters.
