Abstract
Pt/Ketjen black catalysts having various loading amounts of tin dioxide particles, Pt/x-SnO2/KB (x = 0, 17, 58), were prepared and their ORR (oxygen reduction reaction) activity and the durability were studied. The ORR activity of Pt/58-SnO2/KB is higher than that Pt/0-SnO2/KB. Durability of Pt for each catalyst was investigated by repeatedly potential pulse test between 0.6-1.0 V. It is clarified that the durability given as ECA remaining is higher than by tin dioxide loading. Therefore, loading of SnO2 particles would give increase ORR activity as well as durability of Pt catalyst.
