Abstract

The uncertain factors have been investigated from the numerical probability simulation method in this paper. The interactive relationship between the investigated parameters and the weather condition has been analyzed from the grey relational analysis (GRA) method which is one of the hybrid multi criteria decision making method. The implementation and development of the numerical probability model for the existing vessels have been researched from the Monte Carlo simulation method. The numerical data has been simulated and analyzed from the proposed method. Afterwards, the collected results will be compared with the experimental data from the novelty simulation method. The reduction of fuel oil consumption is about 550 Tons corresponding to save 27.5% from the novelty numerical simulation method. The EEOI index will drop down 5.10−6 compared with the calculated value from the actual operation data. The numerical simulation method has been studied to help the ship-owners and the ship-operators could know that which parameter will influence dramatically on the fuel oil consumption of ships as well as the influences of environmental aspect on the EEOI index.
