Abstract
Counselor‐led interventions rarely target special education students. Conducting exploratory action research, the authors evaluated the influence of the Student Success Skills program on 6 students receiving special education services. Strong positive effects were observed in social and emotional learning, executive functioning, and academic competence. The authors suggest future practices for better meeting the needs of exceptional students.
