Abstract

Introduction: We recently showed that the SMILE exercise, which was designed to apply mechanical loads and vibration to the bones, improved bone strength and gait speed. However, there is a risk of COVID-19 infection in the group exercise secession, and, thus, on-demand exercises may be an approach to carry out exercise safely. This study examined the effects of the on-demand SMILE exercise on bone strength and salivary immunoglobulin A (SIgA) and 6-m fast gait speed.
