Effects of the interaction between the pitch of band noise and color on psychological evaluation

Abstract

In the present research, we are studying about the effects of complex stimuli of visual and auditory on perception and cognition. Based on the above way of thinking, in this time, we made an psychological experiment about the interaction between “the pitch of a band noise” and “color.” In the experiment, we made subjects look into the room model. In the model, visual stimulating are presented by color scheme cards. And also, auditory stimulating of different stimulations in which visual stimulation of color scheme cards and auditory stimulation of 1/3 octave band noises (100 Hz, 1 kHz, and 10 kHz) are presented to subjects through loud speaker. After the one trial of visual and auditory stimulation, we heled quetionnaire about the impressions. As a result, we could obtain that subjects evaluated the bright and light impression lower when the bright color is presented with 100 Hz band noise.
