Abstract
New calculations based on the nonrelativistic Hartree-Fock-Slater model, incorporating interaction between the final states (1s 22s 0sp 6 1S 0) and (1s 22s 22p 4 1), are presented for neon. These theoretical results remove an outstanding disagreement between earlier theoretical calculations and the high-resolution measurements.
