Abstract
An increase in the sheet resistance of thin films of indium tin oxide is observed when they are exposed to air after their growth in vacuum or after they have been kept in vacuum. The resistance decreases again when they are exposed to vacuum. No dependence between grain size and change of resistance has been observed. This leads us to conclude that absorption of atmospheric oxygen is a bulk phenomenon.
