Abstract
Summary The percentage of Schistosoma mansoni cercariae that successfully penetrated and matured in mice was found to be strongly influenced by environmental temperature. The optimal temperature for penetration was between 30° and 35°C; however, penetration took place at all temperatures tested between 10° and 40°C.
