Abstract

The scattering from multiple anisotropic impedance cylinders eccentrically coated with bianisotropic media possessing helical conductance of the surfaces are investigated in this paper using the boundary-value approach combined with the technique of generalized separation variables, where the obliquely incident wave is assumed to be of TMz-polarization. Such a helical conductance of the surfaces can be made of conductor grids in the form of a multifiler helix with a twist angle and it can be either right- or left-handed. Numerical results are presented to show the effects of the twist angle on the co- and cross-polarized scattering characteristics of composite bianisotropic cylinders, where the special cases of the T- and L-strips are also investigated. Some unique generalized relations governing the co-and cross-polarized scattering cross sections are found.
