Abstract

Molecular dynamics method has been applied to investigate the effects of substitutional helium atoms on the displacement cascades in α-Fe. It is found that the defects production decreases at low temperature and increases at high temperature with the increase of substitutional helium concentration. The clusters sizes and spatial distribution of defects depend on the concentration of helium. Large He–Vacancy clusters can be observed and different defects distribute in different zones, which is different from pure iron under the same radiation conditions.
