Abstract
Polycrystalline samples of BaTi1-x(Fe0.5Nb0.5)xO3 with x = 0, 0.03, 0.05, 0.1, 1 have been synthesized by high temperature solid state reaction technique. The effects of cationic substitution of iron and niobium for titanium in the B-sites for BaTiO3 perovskites lattice on symmetry and dielectric properties are investigated. X-ray diffraction at room temperature for the composition x = 0.03, 0.05, 0.10 indicates that two solid solutions are found in this system. The field dependences of the dielectric response and the conductivity were measured in a frequency range from 100 Hz to 1MHz and in a temperature range from 294 K to 623 K. The rietveld analysis of Ba(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3 is found to be cubic with space group of Pm3m and two solid solutions exist in the BaTix(Fe0.5Nb0.5)1-xO3 (0 < x ≤ 0.10) at room temperature of space group of Pm3m and P4mm.
