Abstract
In this work, the effects of specimen shape and process parameters on the mechanical properties of beryllium foils were investigated. Two types of foil specimens with different shapes, including rectangular and dog bone shaped specimens, and their effect on the mechanical properties of the thin beryllium foils were examined. The specimen shape was found to affect the mechanical properties of the foils. In addition, a series of experiments were carried out to examine the effect of process parameters on the mechanical properties of the foils. The effect of changes in process parameters such as the cold rolling and high-vacuum annealing was investigated.
