Effects of Soil Reaction, Clipping Height, and Nitrogen Fertilization on the Productivity of Kentucky Bluegrass Sod Transplants in Pot Culture1

Abstract

SynopsisKentucky bluegrass sod produced higher yields of top‐growth at pH 6.2 than at pH 5.1. The ½‐inch clipping height gave lower yields than the 2‐inch clipping height, particularly at pH 5.1. Each increment of nitrogen fertilizer increased top‐growth.
