Abstract
The right lower extremity of young adult New Zealand rabbits was irradiated with various dosages and fractionation schedules. The left lower extremity served as the control. Six weeks after irradiation, marrow uptake of 59Fe and 99mTc was measured and marrow cellularity counts were taken. For all radiation dosages and fractionation schedules there was a significant correlation between the isotope uptakes and an apparent correlation between the 99mTc label and marrow cellularity.
