Abstract

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Simulation-Based delivery education before and after clinical practice on nursing students. Methods: The experimental group contains 48 students taking obstetrics clinical practice after having Simulation-Based delivery education, and the control group contains 48 students taking Simulation-Based delivery education after having clinical practice. Simulation-Based delivery education had done 3 hours in a week for 7 weeks, and clinical practice had done 9 hours in a day for 5 days. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 window program. Results: Nursing students who received Simulation-Based delivery education had higher level of delivery care knowledge (t=4.93, p<.001), Clinical performance ability (t=15.76, p<.001) and simulation utilizing satisfaction(t=3.92, p<.001) than those who did not attend. Conclusion: The effect of Simulation-Based delivery education is depend on the contents of the education and the surroundings of experiment, the results of study recommend placing ‘SimulationBased delivery education’ previously to clinical practice during organizing a course of study.
